Jewelry care
Cleaning your jewelry
Gold jewelry can accumulate dirt and oils from your skin. Follow these simple steps to clean it:
- Mix a few drops of mild soap with warm water
- Let your jewelry soak in the water for a couple of minutes
- Gently brush with a soft brush
- Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a soft cloth
General recommendations
- Store Properly - When you're not wearing your jewelry, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. We recommend using the original box that came with your piece to prevent scratching or tangling with other pieces.
- Activities - Remove your jewelry before engaging in activities like swimming, exercising, or gardening. Harsh conditions and chemicals can affect the metal and any gemstones in your jewelry.
Avoid
- Harsh chemicals - Keep your gold jewelry away from chemicals such as bleach, chlorine, and harsh cleaning agents. These substances can damage the finish and may even cause discoloration.
- Impact - Gold is a relatively soft metal, so it can scratch or dent easily. Be careful to avoid bumping or dropping your jewelry.
- Cosmetics - Apply lotions, perfumes, and hairsprays before putting on your jewelry to prevent residue buildup.
